Colnago CX Zero Disc 6800 Bicycle

Colnago describes their CX Zero as a bike for every rider looking for the best experience and value from a top-end road frame. It employs a classic/endurance geometry where the top tube is slightly shorter, the head tube slightly taller and seat tube angle is slightly more laid back than the M10 for example. Cable actuated Shimano BR-R515 Disc brakes give the CX Zero perfect, powerful braking in all conditions with just a light lever pressure.

With the subtle geometry tweaks, Colnago delivers a racing frame that can be ridden with a touch more emphasis on comfort. This means you won't need a team of personal trainers or physical therapists after riding in an unnaturally stretched position with a ton of drop. Don't be confused though. The CX Zero is by no means a super upright fitness bike. Look for Team Europcar to use the CX Zero in the Spring Classics where dependability, comfort, and ride quality are needed to finish long races on varied road surfaces including cobbles.

A blend of high modulus carbon and high resistance carbon tunes the ride quality while still offering lateral frame rigidity together with perfectly balanced performance. Thin seat stays, engineered chain stays plus a beefy bottom bracket and headtube also contribute to comfort with control. Frame and fork clearances allow for larger 25c tires for an air cushioned ride. Colnago thinks of everything and uses a 27.2mm seatpost in lieu of the 31.6mm to transmit less road shock to the rider.

This CX Zero comes with Shimano's new 6800 components that feature incredibly fast front shifting plus excellent reliability. There is a complete 6800 group including the cranks - there is no skimping on parts that sometimes happens on OE builds.
