Araya TX-310F Rim
Any old school BMX rider or early mountain biker can tell you about the sweetness of Japanese made Araya rims. There was a time when no BMX'er wanted to launch with any other rim carrying their Comps or Mongoose rubber. But Araya made rims for all forms of cycling, and never stopped, making the company Japan's oldest bicycle rim manufacturer. The TX-310F Rim is a 700c clincher design that was built to meet the durability standards of past touring rims while going wider to suit the trends in current cycling tire usage. The traditional box profile carries over, with a 14.7mm rim height, but the inside rim width is 17mm, with a corresponding 23.2mm external measurement.
The double wall extruded aluminum rim features internal bridging and dual wall eyelets for greater strength while under tension at the spoke nipple, while the box design and double wall construction delivers inherent lateral strength and resilience to impact. The rim joint is pinned and finished for smooth surface braking from the non-machined brake track, which works well, especially with softer compound brake pads. This is a rim that was built to take miles of use and abuse. Perfect for a daily commuter, running a 700x28 tire, or a standard touring bike, the Araya TX-310F Rim delivers the level of quality and capability the company established decades ago.
