The Minion is the most popular downhill tire of all time. Its popularity rose to a point to where Maxxis engineers widened the range, spawning several iterations of the original Minion design. This Minion DHF version serves up a multi-compound trail tread on a lightweight but durable casing, effectively bring downhill control and grip to the masses. The Minions DHF simply provides more control and grip than any other tire in the sub-900 gram tire class.

This Minion DHF uses Maxxis's 3C MaxxTerra three compound tread rubber, whose layup has a hard compound base with medium compound center knobs and soft compound shoulder knobs. This combination provides incredible grip without too much sacrifice in rolling speed. Upon closer inspection, you will notice the open tread design, which features a series of directional ramped knobs in a narrow-wide configuration. This proven design provides an amazing amount of both grip and rolling speed. The square shoulder knobs have a single siping grove to allow the tread to flex and conform while cornering and braking. When you add all of this up, the net result is a tire that will give you more control and elevate your game by making you a better rider.

The robust but lightweight casing is core spun at 60tpi and has a max pressure of 60psi in the 2.30 Skinwall. Add the EXO sidewall protection, and you need not worry about cuts, punctures or abrasions. Full TR tubeless ready compatibility makes mounting and sealing the tires an easy task.
