Description
Limited edition colorways don't usually change how a tire performs, but they do change how long you can get your hands on one. The GravelKing X1 LTD from Panaracer takes their proven mixed-terrain tread pattern and wraps it in Honey Butter and Cranberry sidewall options that won't stick around once the production run sells through. The tire underneath remains the same X1 that's earned a reputation for versatility across hardpack, loose gravel, and the inevitable pavement sections that connect your favorite routes.
The X1 tread sits in the middle of Panaracer's gravel lineup, designed for riders who split time between maintained gravel roads and more technical singletrack-adjacent terrain. The center ridge rolls efficiently on hardpack and pavement, while the shoulder knobs provide grip when you lean into corners or encounter loose conditions. It's not as aggressive as the X1+ and won't roll quite as fast as the slick-center SS, but that's precisely the point—the X1 handles the widest range of conditions without forcing you to choose between speed and traction.
Tubeless construction comes standard, using Panaracer's TLC casing that seals reliably with standard sealant. The 120 TPI casing provides a supple ride feel that helps maintain traction over choppy surfaces, and the folding bead keeps weight reasonable for a tire that prioritizes durability over pure gram-counting. Both 700x40mm and 700x45mm widths give you options depending on your frame clearance and preferred tire volume.... Read More
