Brushes and sponges inside a chain scrubber are wear items, and eventually they stop doing the work. The bristles flatten out, the sponges get saturated with grime that won't rinse clean, and the wicking pads lose their ability to catch drips. When that happens to your CM-25, the Park Tool RBS-25 gets the unit back to full function without replacing the aluminum body you already paid for.

The RBS-25 comes as a complete pre-assembled cartridge. The 2 rotating brushes, 2 sponges, and 2 wicking pads are already mounted in their composite tray, so you snap the whole thing into the CM-25 housing and you're done. No fishing individual brushes into slots or trying to remember which sponge goes where. The old cartridge clicks out, the new one clicks in, and you're back to scrubbing all 4 sides of the chain the way the tool was designed to.
