The face panel is adjustable, so you can dictate the coverage and your comfort. The leading edge of the head is the forehead zone, and the designers use a P.R.O. Barrier fabric panel that provides optimal wind and water protection at this key location.

Balaclava's need to provide heat and regulate moisture to be effective under the rider's helmet. Pearl opts for their P.R.O. Thermal Dry fabric for the rest of the paneled structure. This polyester/elastane blend features a brushed inner surface, and a finished outer that breathes and insulates exceptionally well, even under the hardest efforts in the worst weather. It also has anti-bacterial properties, so while we recommend rinsing and drying after each use as a best practice, Pearl has your back when it comes to grungy odors. While it doesn't block water or wind, it offers some basic protection and relies on thermal regulation, even when wet, for excellent performance. The panels are shaped and sewn to follow anatomical shapes and the entire piece features excellent stretch for an effective, ergonomic, comfortable fit.

Typical Pearl attention to detail can be seen in the wide, flexible, flat lock stitching, clean assembly and construction, and reflective highlights.
