Description

The Colnago M-10 is at the top of their product range right along with the C-59. The M-10 is a monocoque frame in contrast to the lugged C-59. New lamination technology and materials are used on the M-10 to make it light and stiffer while offering a little more vertical shock absorption for a better ride without sacrificing performance.

The first thing you notice about the M-10 is a massive downtube transitioning to an oversize bottom bracket. What this tells us is the M-10 is made to jump when you step on it. After all, who doesn't want a little advantage out of the last corner or just sprinting against friends on the Sunday group ride. The other nice feature of the M-10 is a standard English threaded bottom bracket which allows virtually any crankset to be used without adapters or proprietary bearings.

The C-HS1 tapered head tube and new fork give more confidence during high-speed descents along with a more stable feeling in the corners. The paint finish is textbook Colnago - intricate and beautiful. Except for the head badge, none of the colored areas or logos on a Colnago frame is a decal thanks to the skill of their painters.

Ernesto Colnago has been designing quality road racing bicycles for over 5 decades and his passion for frame design continues today. Colnago bikes have been used by too many professional teams to count and have garnered literally thousands of professional wins. A genuine enthusiasm for innovative and reliable design combined with some of the most exciting paint and graphic work in the bicycle world continues to keep Colnago one of the most coveted brands in the marketplace.

A word on sizing. Colnago describes the frame size as the actual seat tube length from the center of the bottom bracket to about the middle of the seat collar extension. Since most manufacturers list virtual sizes on sloping top tube frames (the size to frame would feel like if the bike had a horizontal top tube) Colnagos run larger than what they may seem at first glance so we strongly suggest sizing off the virtual top tube length and head tube length.

Build information: requires English (BSC) threaded bottom bracket and a braze-on front derailleur
