Description

Offered at a discount off a build that lists at roughly $15,500, this Dogma X served as a show and demonstration bike — set up for display and never ridden — which is where the value sits, since it arrives with a full factory warranty on both frame and components. The Dogma X is not a Dogma F with softer tires bolted on. It is a separate platform with its own geometry, its own seatstay design and its own brief: take the Dogma F's race-bred DNA and translate it into a bike you can ride for long hours on broken roads. Pinarello built it around what it calls Endurance geometry, a fit that keeps the handling honest while easing the demands the race frame places on the body.

The defining feature is the X-Stays rear triangle. Instead of conventional merged seatstays that connect the seat cluster to the dropouts in a single arc, the X-Stays separate into two thin carbon spars that bend outwards and back inwards, creating a long, narrow window of air between the seat tube and the seatstays that, combined with a more compliant carbon lay-up in the rear triangle, delivers vertical compliance Pinarello claims is 5% greater than the Dogma F without losing lateral stiffness. The frame is built from T1100 1K carbon with Pinarello's asymmetric construction, which addresses the drivetrain's unequal loads by optimizing each side of the frame for the forces it actually sees.

Fit sits between a pure race bike and a soft-riding endurance machine. For a nominal size 54cm, the Dogma X has a shorter 381.2mm reach than the 385.3mm found on an equivalent Dogma F, as well as a taller 568.4mm stack compared to 551mm. This is not an endurance bike designed to mollycoddle you with a relaxed position. Tire clearance opens the bike's range considerably — the Dogma X accepts up to 35mm , so you can run narrower rubber for road speed or go wider for rougher, mixed-surface routes. The frame is electronic-only, so this Dura-Ace Di2 build is the intended configuration rather than a compromise.... Read More
