The success of the road Pinarello Dyodo E-Bike has been steady and a true option for riders who can now find greater access to both cycling and the roads ahead. When coupled with the explosive growth of gravel bikes that are capable of pavement, gravel, hardpack trails, etc., the logical step forward for Pinarello was to combine the allroad capabilities of their Grevil frameset with the Dyodo E-Bike design. Carrying many of the frame design elements that afford greater comfort and wider frame and fork clearance, the Dyodo E-Gravel Bicycle is a real blend of the two, not just a cobbled together variant. Now a rider can utilize the additional nearly silent power of the e-bike, with a more rugged design for 700x42 or 27.5x2.1? tires to go further afield on pavement, dirt or gravel.

Like the Grevil and Dyodo, the Dyodo E-Gravel features T700 nanoalloy carbon by Toray, built with Dyodo E-Gravel-specific Asymmetric construction from the fork to the rear drop-out to handle the power, ensure the bike is balanced side to side, and while under pedaling and cornering loads. The tapered fork is the Onda Disk, with extended aero Fork Flaps, Flat Mount disc interface, internal routing, and 12mm thru-axle. The engineering also takes into account the battery and rear hub weight, as well as the drive power of the electric system. From the Grevil comes many of the tube shapes, including the driveside dropped stay which creates the space for wider tires along with the 12/142mm rear dropout. The geometry is largely similar to the Grevil, withe exception of a slightly taller head tube per size. The seatpost is still aero, but the more forgiving Grevil design for an increase in compliance.

The heart of any e-bike is the drive system. As with the Dyodo, Pinarello utilizes the the Spanish designed and tested ebikemotion X35 drive system and iWoc ONE controller. The X35 is a rear hub-based system, which is largely hidden by the cassette and disc rotor unless you are within a few feet. On the Dyodo, the 250 Wh battery is housed in the downtube, towards the bottom bracket. A flush mount charging port is located at the crux of the seattube and downtube junction. On the top tube, by the head tube, you find the single button LED iWoc ONE controller. Not much to see here. An App for your smartphone allows you to monitor the unit as well.
