Description

Offered at a discount off a build that lists at $11,000, this Grevil F9 served as a show and demonstration bike — set up for display and never ridden — which is where the value sits, since it arrives with a full factory warranty on both frame and components. Pinarello built the latest Grevil F for a specific job: long-distance gravel racing where aerodynamics, comfort over many hours, and race-day logistics carry as much weight as raw climbing power. With the arrival of the Dogma GR as the pure-competition flagship, the Grevil F was reconceived as the more versatile, endurance-focused platform in the range — the bike for events measured in hours rather than minutes.

The frame is built from Toray T900 UD carbon, the layup Pinarello reserves for the two top-tier Grevil F models. Geometry has been revised for the demands of longer efforts: the top tube is 10mm longer than the previous generation and is paired with a shorter stem, a combination that sharpens off-road handling without making the front end nervous. The F Onda fork has been slimmed relative to the previous Grevil F, shedding weight and adding compliance while retaining the torsional stiffness needed for accurate steering, and it uses size-specific rake — 55mm on the three smaller sizes and 50mm on the three larger ones — to keep trail and handling consistent as frame size changes.

Comfort comes from a pairing of design elements rather than a single fix. The adaptive D-Shape seatpost and the Twin Arms seatstay design together provide a claimed 10mm of longitudinal flex, damping vibration through the saddle over broken surfaces. The Twin Arms layout drops the seatstay junction lower on the seat tube, which spreads impact loads more uniformly and also reduces mud buildup in the rear triangle. Tire clearance runs up to 50mm on 700c wheels, so the frame handles everything from fast road-width rubber to genuinely rough terrain, and it accepts 650b x 2.1" rubber when a course calls for it....
