Description

Pinarello's Dogma DNA shapes more bikes in the lineup than just the flagship, and the X-series is where that race pedigree meets a more accommodating geometry. The X5 sits in the middle of the X range, built around a Torayca T700 carbon frame that borrows the asymmetric chainstays and onda fork curves from the Dogma X but at a price that makes the platform reachable. The frame design accounts for the drivetrain forces pulling unevenly on the right side of the bike, with a beefier driveside chainstay to resist flex under hard efforts. The result is a bike that climbs and accelerates with intent but settles into a longer, more relaxed position than a pure race frame.

Geometry is where the X5 distinguishes itself from the F-series race bikes. The stack runs taller, the reach pulls in slightly, and the head tube angle relaxes — the cockpit comes up to meet the rider rather than demanding a deep, aggressive hunch. Tire clearance opens to 32mm, which gives room for wider rubber on rough pavement or light gravel detours. The wheelbase is longer than the F-series for stability over long days, and the bottom bracket drop is tuned for predictable handling when the road tilts down and the speed climbs.

This particular bike is a former show bike from the Excel Service Course floor, in near-mint condition. There's one cosmetic scratch at the end of the left crankarm — purely cosmetic, no functional impact. Otherwise the bike presents as new. It's been built and prepped by the Excel shop and is ready to roll.... Read More
