Description
Pressure mapping data from professional and amateur cyclists shaped every aspect of the Nago R4 3D PAS, and that research-driven approach shows in the saddle's five-zone construction. Prologo's proprietary Pressure Map MyOwn system identified exactly where riders apply force across the saddle surface, then used that information to engineer varying densities and elastic coefficients into each zone. The rear section uses high-density material with a high elastic coefficient to support the ischial bones during seated power efforts. Three central sections drop to low density with medium elasticity for soft tissue comfort. The nose transitions to medium density with low elasticity for stable support when riding on the rivet.
The Multi Sector System (MSS) technology makes this zone-specific tuning possible through 3D printing, which allows Prologo to build complex geometric structures with precisely controlled material properties. Where pressure mapping showed lower loads, the design reduces material without compromising support, contributing to a claimed weight of just 149 grams. That figure places the Nago R4 3D PAS among the lightest 3D-printed saddles available, competitive with or lighter than offerings from Specialized, Fizik, and Selle Italia despite using similar construction approaches.
The saddle retains the T-shape profile and compact 245 x 137mm dimensions of the standard Nago R4, a design already proven at the WorldTour level by riders including Tadej Pogacar, Mark Cavendish, and Geraint Thomas. This shape provides a wide rear platform with freedom of movement, allowing riders to shift position across the full saddle length without restriction. The semi-round profile suits cyclists with average pelvic rotation flexibility, while the 137mm width accommodates narrower sit bone spacing common among performance-oriented riders.... Read More
