Description
Pelvic anatomy varies enough from rider to rider that a single saddle shape can't accommodate everyone, which is why Prologo developed the Dimension system to categorize saddles by width and curvature profile. The Scratch M5 PAS sits in the middle of that system—designed for riders whose sit bones fall in the moderate spacing range and who prefer a flatter saddle profile that allows position changes during efforts. The PAS designation indicates Prologo's tiredness abatement system, a relief channel running the length of the saddle that reduces soft tissue pressure without cutting a full groove through the shell.
The saddle uses a nylon-reinforced shell that provides the flex characteristics most riders find comfortable on longer efforts, striking a balance between the dead feel of overly rigid carbon and the energy-absorbing squish of recreational saddles. Microfiber covering handles durability and grip—you won't slide around when you're pushing hard, and the material holds up to repeated contact with cycling shorts over thousands of miles. Rail construction uses CroMo steel, which adds some grams compared to titanium or carbon options but brings a compliance characteristic that some riders actually prefer, particularly on rougher road surfaces where a bit of rail flex takes the edge off vibration.
The 140mm width works for the middle range of sit bone measurements—if you've been fitted on a pressure mapping system or measured with a sit bone tool, you're looking at roughly 120-130mm sit bone width as the target demographic. Riders outside that range should look at the narrower 134mm or wider 147mm variants in the Scratch M5 lineup.... Read More
