The Ritchey Pro 4-Axis stem features the same design as their Pro Tour proven benchmark WCS model but is forged from 6061 aluminum instead of the more exotic 7050 and 2014 alloys. It has the same industry leading angled steerer tube clamp slot that dramatically reduces stress on carbon steerer tubes. A proven 4-Axis faceplate and bolt spacing distributes clamping force evenly protecting lightweight handlebars.

Reducing stress on the steer and handlebars are two main factors which contributed to the popularity of Ritchey 4-Axis stems over the years. Another is the quality stainless steel bolts that don't strip or snap. Ritchey hardware can hold up to many adjustments and be as good as new. The 180º degree faceplate also makes bar and stem swaps a snap not to mention disassembly for travel.
