The general MegaBite tread pattern has been around since the mid-Eighties. originally designed with Ritchey's Vector Force Analysis, the popular tire was omnipresent on the MTB scene for many years. The subtle tread design allowed for a fast rolling tire that offered solid grip and durability. Fast forward a few years and what's old is new again. Cyclocross turns out to be the perfect venue for the classic MegaBite and was in instant success. All remains the same as far as tread pattern is concerned, but modern materials and construction is applied for added durability and increasing suppleness.
