The latest Pike technology brings us one of the greatest trail forks ever produced. If you want a highly capable, plush and predictable fork it all starts here. Several variations of the Pike are available, with this one being the Solo Air version for 29er frames. The keys to this Pike RCT3 are the Charger Damper and Solo Air systems, but don't overlook the materials and construction of this trail/Enduro ready fork. The forged, hollow 7075 aluminum crown is stiff and strong. Mated to the tapered aluminum steerer, the control response is immediate and sure. The magnesium lowers are both light and stiff enough to carry the 35mm FastBlack Low Friction Anodized stanchions.

The RockShox Solo Air system has you add air through a single Schrader valve, filling both the positive and negative air spring chambers simultaneously. Solo Air keeps them both in perfect equilibrium, that ensures a plush, predictable ride you can precisely tune in less than a minute. There is no manual travel adjustment with Solo Air (the Dual Position Air version offers this), so maintenance and service is less intensive. This is the lightest weight air spring system on the market, and it's precise delivery is the key to maximizing the damper system for unmatched smoothness on the trail.

The RCT3 Charger Damper allows you three manual settings to choose from while riding: Open- full-range travel, Pedal- which offers firmer platform for more efficient pedaling, and Lock- for those times when you can hammer along or climb without travel. You also get preload, external rebound and low speed compression control. Essentially all this means there's no sacrifice in bump performance while still offering the ability change the fork's characteristics to suit the terrain.

The interface with the front hub is via the RockShox Maxle 15mm system. This stiff and simple device offers tool-free simple, locking action. The 15mm Maxle Lite is provided with the fork. A direct 74mm post mount is integrated into the left lower, for maximum stiffness and exceptional alignment. The maximum recommended rotor size is 200mm. With all the great trail forks out there, RockShox knew the return of the Pike had to be marked by the best technologies and standard features, and the Pike RCT3 does not disappoint.
