Six ratio options cover most of what a road rider needs. The 11-25T and 12-25T are the tight-ratio choices for flat criteriums and time trials where you want small jumps between gears. The 11-28T is the do-everything default — enough range for rolling terrain, tight enough spacing to stay in the right gear on group rides. The 11-30T and 11-32T open up climbing gears for mountainous routes or riders spinning higher cadences up long grades, and the 14-28T is the junior gearing option built to meet USA Cycling junior gear restrictions without needing an aftermarket lockout.

Compatibility is straightforward: this fits any Shimano/SRAM 11-speed HG road freehub body and requires an HG-EV or HG-X11 chain. It runs cleanly with any Shimano 11-speed road drivetrain — 105 5800, Ultegra R8000, or Dura-Ace R9100 — and shifts fine with SRAM 11-speed road as well. The 11-32T is the largest cog this cassette offers; if you need more range than that on an 11-speed drivetrain, you'll want to look at the CS-HG800-11 (11-34T), which requires a medium-cage GS derailleur.
