The Shimano Ultegra 6703 Left (front) triple chainring STI lever employs a hidden brake and derailleur cable for a clean-looking cockpit. The brake lever and shift paddle are carbon fiber. Shimano has improved ergonomics with a reach adjustment so the 6703 STI lever so they can fit a wide range of hand sizes. The shape of the hoods is flatter on the top for increased comfort. The brake pivot has been relocated for better braking power and modulation especially when riding on the hoods where most ride spend the majority of their riding time.
