Shimano's mountain bike XTR and XT front derailleurs have essentially a modular mounting system. With the diverse mounting systems used by frame manufacturers, Di2 requires very specific clamp or mount interfaces for proper alignment and strength. This SM-FD905-H mount is a clamp style for frames that require a High Clamp design. It is sized for 34.9mm diameter round seattubes, and can be adapted to 31.8 or 28.6mm with the multi-clamp band shims.

Constructed from aluminum, machined for precision, strength, and frame safety, the SM-FD905-H has a painted aluminum finish and weighs just 33 grams. It is designed for Di2 front derailleurs and cranksets with top gear teeth of 40-34. This High Clamp band design differentiates from the Low Clamp band design, and Direct Mount options.
