Description
The S-Works Recon sits at the top of Specialized's cross-country and gravel shoe range, built around a unidirectional carbon plate that measures a stiffness index of 13.0 for direct power transfer under hard efforts. This particular pair is a photo-shoot demo unit in A+ condition with full factory warranty, carrying only minor cosmetic signs of wear from the shoot. If you've wanted the S-Works Recon without the full-retail commitment, this is where that gap opens up.
The upper uses a synthetic material with laser-perforated venting to shed heat on long climbs and warm-weather rides. Two Boa Li2 dials handle closure, letting you make micro-adjustments on the fly in both directions and dump tension instantly when you stop. The dials pull evenly across the foot, so you get a consistent wrap without the pressure points that come from a single-dial or ratchet setup.
Underfoot, the FACT Powerline carbon plate pairs with a lugged rubber tread and toe-spike compatibility for hike-a-bike sections and loose terrain. The Body Geometry sole, footbed, and metatarsal button come standard, engineered to position the foot and knee for efficient power delivery over long days.
