Description
Inner chainrings wear faster than outer rings because they handle most of your climbing efforts and see more chain articulation at steeper angles. When the shifting from big ring to small ring starts feeling sluggish or the chain hesitates before dropping, worn teeth on the inner ring are usually the culprit. This SRAM Force 22 X-Glide replacement gets your crankset shifting like it did out of the box.
The X-Glide tooth profiling is where SRAM focused their engineering attention. Each tooth features ramped edges and relieved sections that guide the chain during shifts, reducing the force needed to move between rings. The profile works in both directions—helping the chain drop smoothly to the inner ring and climb back up to the outer ring without hesitation. You'll notice the difference most on shifts under moderate pedaling load, where worn chainrings tend to ghost-shift or refuse to engage.
Compatibility matters here. This chainring fits Force 22 cranksets with the 110mm bolt circle diameter, which SRAM uses across their 11-speed road groups. The 34-tooth version pairs with 50T outer rings for a standard compact setup, while the 36-tooth option matches 52T outer rings for a mid-compact configuration. If you're running a different BCD or mixing generations, double-check your crankset specs before ordering.... Read More
