Description
Hollow carbon fiber arms with a forged aluminum spider form the foundation of SRAM's Force D2 crankset. The construction delivers stiffness where you need it for power transfer while keeping weight reasonable for the mid-tier groupset. Force sits between Rival and Red in SRAM's road hierarchy, sharing the same 12-speed compatibility and AXS electronic shifting ecosystem as its siblings but with materials balanced more toward value than outright weight savings.
The DUB spindle interface works with SRAM's unified bottom bracket system, which means this crankset fits BSA threaded, PF30, BB30, T47, and other shell standards depending on which DUB bottom bracket you pair it with. That flexibility matters if you're upgrading an older frame or building across multiple bikes with different shell types. The 8-bolt direct mount chainring interface accepts SRAM's X-Range road chainrings, and this crankset ships with a 48/35T combination that handles everything from flat group rides to steep climbs without the extreme gear jumps of a compact setup.
Flattened sections on the inner arm faces provide clearance for wider chainstays, which addresses the frame compatibility issues that plagued some older crankset designs. The 2x configuration uses SRAM's X-Range gearing philosophy, which optimizes chainring tooth counts and cassette ratios for smooth shifting and efficient chain engagement across the full gear range....
