Description

The Force Wide crankset is the very center of SRAM X-Range gearing philosophy. With tight 13-tooth gaps between chainrings paired to wide-range cassettes, riders get more range while shifting less frequently and staying in the big ring longer. The 43/30T chainring combo combined with a wide chainline increases tire clearance while providing ideal gearing for venturing off-road. For 2023, SRAM released the updated Force AXS road/gravel, D2 series double crankset in this Wide variation, featuring a simple, minimized, but sharp pearlescent-type graphic on gloss carbon with dark silver-grey accent. The DUB spindle crank arms feature only this change, with with a true spider and 2 individual chainrings, like the previous generation. This is opposed to the non-Wide road version which feature integrated single-piece 2-ring unit.

The Wide crankset achieves the proper chainline crankset for bikes with up to 700x45c or 27.5x2.1” tire widths and is only available with the 43/30T chainring set-up. A longer DUB crank spindle accommodates both Road and MTB width frame bottom bracket standards for unmatched cross-compatibility across manufacturers. Keep in mind that a Wide frameset, with a Wide crankset, also requires the Wide front derailleur. The DUB 28.99mm crank arm spindle is the most universal design made, offering simplicity. Just choose the bottom bracket required for your road bike, install- and go. The system features a left arm, with the DUB spindle attached and a bearing pre-load adjustment device. The rings mount to the spider, which bolted to the driveside crank arm, and once installed, the driveside unit is attached to the DUB spindle via an exterior, center bolt that pulls the assembly together.
