Description
The SRAM Level TL is the two-piston hydraulic disc brake caliper from SRAM's trail-oriented Level family, sitting in the middle of the lineup above the base Level T and below the four-piston Level TLM and Ultimate models. This is the post-mount caliper sold as a small-parts replacement, intended for riders who need to swap out a damaged caliper, convert a frame, or rebuild a brake system without buying a complete lever-and-line kit. It uses DOT 5.1 fluid, matches the Level lever pull ratio, and accepts SRAM's standard organic or sintered metal pads in the Level/DB/Elixir pad shape.
Two pistons keep the caliper light and simple, which is the whole point of the Level platform. SRAM positioned Level as the cross-country and light trail successor to the long-running DB and Elixir lines, and the TL trim shares the same caliper body and piston architecture as the higher-end TLM, just without the tool-free reach adjust and Contact Point Adjustment on the lever side. The caliper itself is the same forged aluminum two-piece body with a bleed port up top and banjo-style hose fitting at the inlet, so hose routing options are flexible whether you're running a stock SRAM line or a cut-to-length replacement.
Pad retention uses a threaded pad pin with a cotter clip, which is the standard SRAM arrangement and lets you swap pads in a couple of minutes without disturbing the hose. The caliper ships with steel-backed organic pads already installed, and the post-mount mounting hardware is included in the box. Hydraulic hose is not included, so you'll either reuse your existing line or source a fresh hose and fittings separately depending on the job.... Read More
