Description

The combination of super-lightweight and durability are realized in the Stan's ZTR 29er Race Gold wheels. The rear wheel tips the scales at a feathery 719 grams and the front wheel comes in at a scant 626 grams. This low weight was achieved by careful engineering of proprietary products. Together Race Gold wheelset will come in at 1350-1375 grams. Yes it is light, but we have found them to be durable as well. They are quite possibly the best XC wheels ever constructed.

The Race Gold rim is carefully extruded to remove any excess material and uses Stan's tried and true Bead Socket Technology (BST) . BST offers a shorter sidewall with more tire bead support and improved air volume. This also allows the weight of the rim to be reduced while the strength of the rim is improved. The weight of the Race Gold rim is an astonishing 320 grams.

The rear hub is Stan's own ZTR variety and is spaced at the original 135mm mountain standard. This can be converted to any thru axle sizes with available Stan's conversion kits. The hubs have sealed bearings, high flanges with weight reducing cut-outs and a 6 bolt disc mount. The spokes are DT Swiss Revolutions in black anodized. They are custom drawn at 1.5mm-1.8mm for a weight savings measure. The wheel is laced in a 2x pattern on the non-drive side and 3x on the drive side.
