The T2 Pro Bike Rack is an upgraded and advanced version of the excellent T2 Classic. Thule has redesigned the wheel holders, and much of the hardware and locking systems, but the most significant upgrade is the AutoAttach, tool-free mounting system. Ease of use and efficient interaction are hallmarks of Thule's design process. With a low load height, and easy to use securing system, the T2 Pro is ideal for any user profile and this all inclusive 2-bike rack package comes with the locking devices you require.

The 2" receiver-hitch mount design carries two bikes of almost any type with ease. The T2 Pro can accommodate wheelbases up to 48", so 20 wheel BMX bikes, 29ers, road bikes, cruisers- in fact most bikes with tires up to a whopping 5", yes, fat bike riders are in the mix as well. With the front wheel ratcheting arm closure, the rack doesn't make contact with your frame, a boon for carbon models. The carriers can be adjusted to eliminate bike to bike contact, and the rear wheel holder can be adjusted for wheelbase. Integrated locking cables using the provided OneKey lock cylinders secure your bikes to the rack. The rear wheel is held in the holder by a integrated (though replaceable), durable ratcheting strap. Like the Classic, the T2 Pro has a tilt-away feature, even while loaded, so you easily access a trunk and many hatch doors as well. Variables such as handlebar width, whether or not your receiver is recessed, and door swing can all affect actual clearance. The tilt feature is easy to use, with the HitchSwitch simple locking lever. This system also allows the rack to folded up when off the vehicle for more compact storage.

The new AutoAttach system allows you to mount the rack to your receiver hitch without tools. This innovative design is referred to as the Stinger, as the mechanism bears a resemblance to Scorpion tail. Instead of using a locking pin to secure your rack, the Stinger has an AutoPin end that clips into place to hole the rack tight. The supplied OneKey lock cyclinder is used to lock the device in place. It is simple, effective, and doesn't require tools or the purchase of any other parts. The design is pure Thule.

As a two bike set-up, each carrier can support 60lbs. The rack itself is rated for 160lbs total weight, which is good to know if you require 4-bike capacity and purchase the optional 2-bike Add-On. Please keep in mind that every receiver hitch has a maximum rated tongue weight and you cannot exceed that amount with the weight of the rack and the bikes. The T2 Pro 2-bike carrier weighs 50lbs. Check with your receiver installer or manufacturer for tongue weight rating. The steel base structure and supports have been powdercoated for durable protection against the elements. As with all rack systems, please read and follow all instructions. Ideally for every use you should check bolts for tightness, and on long trips check the hitch pin and all fastening (bike and rack) systems every time you stop.

The T2 Pro is really a turn-key 2-bike rack system. You don't need to buy additional parts or locks to secure your rack or bikes, and the new AutoAttach system makes installation and removal easy. While the Classic version always be a strong option, for those who want it all in one package will opt for the T2 Pro.
