Description
Time's famed mountain bike ATAC system is not built into the platform designs of the Speciale series. The Speciale 8 was inspired by the groundbreaking Speciale 12. The 8 is composed of an aluminum body that is slightly more compact than the 12, yet it offers a stable platform and four adjustable pins for optimal grip. The micro-adjustable tension clamping system allows riders to fine-tune the pedal function for their preferred riding style. Time's patented clamping system allows for easy entry and positive, predictable release, as well as a self-cleaning design to ensure reliable performance in all conditions.
Getting into your pedals is simple and speedy, thanks to ATAC Technology’s wide-angle step-in design. ATAC allows for a wide angle of step-in for positive engagement that allows for natural foot movement. What’s more, a clean pedal is an efficient pedal. If only cleaning the rest of your bike was this easy: Each time you step in, ATAC clears away mud and debris as you step in and the system allows you to align the cleats for 13° or 17° release angle.
