Description

Seatposts don't get much attention until something goes wrong—creaking under load, slipping despite proper torque, or seizing into the frame after a season of neglect. The Zipp Service Course addresses those failure points with straightforward engineering choices. The two-bolt head design allows independent adjustment of saddle angle and fore-aft position, which means you can dial in your fit without the compromise inherent in single-bolt systems where one adjustment affects the other.

The 7075 aluminum construction handles the structural demands without unnecessary weight, and the 20mm setback positions the saddle behind the seatpost centerline for riders who need that geometry. Zipp machines the post with a shot-peened finish that resists corrosion and provides a consistent clamping surface—details that matter when you're torquing a frame's seat tube clamp against the post season after season. The head assembly uses stainless steel hardware throughout, eliminating the galvanic corrosion issues that plague mixed-metal designs in wet conditions.

Available in both 27.2mm and 31.6mm diameters at 350mm length, the Service Course covers the two most common seatpost standards in modern road and gravel frames. The 20mm setback works for riders who sit behind their bottom bracket—typically those with longer femurs or preferences for a more rearward hip position. If you're running a frame with aggressive geometry and need a straight post, this isn't it, but for the substantial number of riders who benefit from setback, it's a reliable component that won't demand attention once installed....
