Description

The climaSchutz is a lightweight and breathable wind and rain shell. It is a go to garment for fall, spring and occasionally summer and excels in protection from wind, altitude and wet weather. The shell compresses down to a tiny package when not in use, so it makes for a well behaved travel partner when not in use during a ride. In terms of where it fits in the range, the Assos blitzFeder is a the superlight version of this garment while the mac sturmPrinz is heavier for more extreme conditions. The climaSchutz fits perfectly in between these products offering the rider another choice in weather wear.
The climaSchutz protects you from all types of weather like wind, drizzle, light rain and cold. It is ideally suited for riding in changing and cooler weather conditions. The climaSchutz is a great choice for cool and possibly damp morning rides, long downhills, rides that bring you up to some altitude, any type of wind and light rain. It should be considered a staple for any cyclist's wardrobe.
Primarily constructed of Assos's climaJet fabric, its unique characteristics include transparency, elasticity and increased water protection while maintaining breathability. It features ventilated side and arm panels as well as pocket slots for simultaneous coverage and access of your storage pockets. The extended rear panel protects lower back and shorts from road spray and dirt. Perhaps what is most noteworthy is the lack of flapping the jacket has. The special fabrics and advanced tailoring techniques reduce and rustling and flapping at speed.
Assos employs their proven AEPD, Advanced Ergonomic Pattern Design concept to make the garment fit like a second skin. When you first put the climaSchutz on, you will notice they pull in certain areas and the fabric around the back of your shoulders and sides tend to sag. When you get on the bike and assume the cycling position, the garment transforms into a second skin. You can have you cycling clothes fit when your sedentary or when you're cycling, you cannot have both. Assos chose the latter and it works like a charm.
