The Assos T.Cento (say: tee-chen'-toe) represents a new breed in bib short technology and with it, offers the only product in a category that they have created. This is the high performance, ultra long distance bib short category. This means these bibs have a comfort fit that requires less compression and a less restrictive fit in the waist and abdominal area. In the past, Assos offered a similar product named the FI.Mille bib short. Similar but not the same, as it had more volume combined with less compression. The T.Cento only offers less compression, while the volume and cut is identical to their performance fit. You are getting a T.Equipe that has been fine-tuned for longer distances, that accommodates riders either looking for a less restrictive fit or for those riders with a more robust body shape.

The body of the bibs are made of many anatomic panels that are specifically tailored for the athletic body, however being a long-distance bib short it has a free and less restrictive feel due to a less compressive fabric weave. So combining this less restrictive lycra with the Assos AEPD (Advanced Ergonomic Pattern Design) anatomic cut is a sheer act of brilliance. You end up with the perfect blend of performance and comfort. The material used in the T.Cento is Assos's proprietary Type 439 lycra. This lycra fabric is both low volume and sheer. It offers plenty of ventilation and has great wicking capacity. These panels are all stitched together using over-locking seams which provide a tight bond between panels and add elasticity. The uppers of the T.Cento has anatomic and flat suspenders that use Assos's Y7 Bib Carrier strap design. These straps are s-shaped, super flat and move towards the outside of your chest which offer better support while being lower profile. Thanks to Assos, bib straps no longer have to sit directly on your clavicle. The Y7 carriers offer the support you need while feeling like they are not even there.

At the core of any bib short is the chamois. The T.Cento receives Assos's best insert, which features many innovations and ground breaking technologies. The most visually obvious being the kuku Penthouse. This is located in the area of the chamois where your genitals reside. It is a supper soft and super low compression panel that gently supports your private parts by offering enough compression to keep them in place, but not so much that you are restricted and bunched up. The insert is elastic, and although this doesn't sound like much, it greatly cuts down on friction which leads to chafing. The chamois features GoldenGate technology, which means it is only attached at the front and rear of the insert, allowing the unstitched center to free float and act as if it were a natural extension of your body. These innovations give the S7 chamois an organic and comfortable sensation. The padding and support comes from the Assos designed memoryFoam which features a shock absorbing, closed cell foam construction. The memoryFoam padding returns to its original form as soon as pressure is released. This means that every time your pedaling position changes, you move on the saddle or shift your weight, memoryFoam foam fills the gap. The foam is placed in strategic areas including around each side of the prostate area to create a well for pressure release. The top layer of the chamois is billed as Assos superAir and is located directly under the top sheet. This waffled pattern design dissipates heat by creating proper air flow, while simultaneously wicks moisture and perspiration away from your body.
