The anatomic cut and design allows for incredible comfort, stretch, and excellent muscle support as you battle the clock. Shield™ micro-fabric on the front, sides and back provides a consistent stretch, and smooth, comfortable feel on the skin. All seams and panels were place to maximize efficiency, and minimize chafing and discomfort. The inner thigh panels have no seam in this crucial zone for worry free smooth pedaling action. The fit is greatly enhanced by the Giro3 light elastic material that is used in the leg hems, sleeve cuffs and neck collar. This material holds the garment in position- you never get a loose edge for the wind to grab, and the compression assists with muscle activity.

The Excel Speedsuit 3.3 features center front, invisible zipper, so getting in and out is manageable. You can also use the zipper for ventilation on the hottest days, but you do sacrifice some aerodynamic properties. The Shield material is designed to sit tight on the skin, wicking and releasing heat and moisture, but it doesn't allow air to flow in the way a waffled style jersey material would. This Speedsuit gets its aerodynamic edge from being slippery in the wind, and holding the flow over the body form. Castelli uses a full sublimation treatment on this garment, and there is no transparency, regardless of the color.
