The DT 240s standard road quick release front hub weighs in at just 128 grams. The super stiff body and stout flanges are precision machined from aluminum. DT's stainless steel, double butted 14 / 17 / 14 gauge spokes have a springy quality at low weight, but can be laced at fairly high tension. The result is a completed wheel that is responsive, compliant and resilient with a box section carbon rim such as the Open Pro UST. We have laced the front wheel in a 3x pattern, and the wheel defeats impacts and holds it's footprint for an extremely stable and sure handling ride. The alloy ProLock nipples secure the whole assembly and work to ensure to maintain tension by reducing the risk of un-threading under the various loads experienced during use.
