if you are running Enve's stem face-plate mounted computer mount, you can replace the Garmin 1/4 turn insert when it wears out with this small parts kit. The polymer female insert is softer than the male end on the body of the Garmin for the obvious reason that you can replace the insert, but not the casing integrated male end on your head unit. Smart, right? It may take a few seasons of regular installation and removal for the insert to wear out, but it will eventually with regular use. Your Enve 1.0 or 2.0 computer mounts are viable long-term for use with your Garmin head unit because you can replace this insert.

Enve includes the mount insert and the small hex key bolt with this kit to keep things simple, and to ensure you aren't screwed if yoy lose or strip the original bolt. Keep your Garmin Edge head unit secure with replacement of the insert that locks it in place. As soon as you feel any slop in when your until is mounted, replace it. This is a great kit to have on-hand, just in case, and we actually recommend daily riders replace this insert at least once a year as a precaution, because a $15 kit is far less expensive than a new Garmin Edge.
