Team Sky has drawn considerable interest from fans for it's design ethos and in working with Fizik on team saddles, the modular nature of the Aliante scuff guard system allowed the partners to mix and match with some color when desired. The Fizik Aliante saddle has become the go-to choice for comfort loved by both pros and enthusiasts alike. Several technologies help to give the Aliante top marks in the all-important comfort mark- and for pros who spend long days in the saddle, every day, this is crucial. Comfort begins with a slightly wider 140mm width and padding that is a touch softer and thicker than the typical racing saddle. A Twin Flex Carbon Kevlar shell is light and supportive with a built in give provided by the carbon and Kevlar weave interior surrounded by a carbon frame. This design delivers a hammock-like effect that is extra gentle to the sensitive perineum area.

This latest version of the Aliante saves about 15 grams thanks to a sleeker profile. The formerly swallow-tailed back end of the saddle has been replaced by a rounded, smooth back. For the Team Sky edition a black on black approach for the cover and logo was selected and riders can choose from the supplied black, Sky blue, or white scuff guards.

The Kium rails are standard 7mm round rails and will work with virtually saddle clamp. In case you are wondering, Kium is an alloy that is lighter and stronger than titanium. Fizik also claims its Kium material resists the bumps better than titanium.
