The Jet 4 Plus Fron Wheel features the weight of a standard set of training clinchers but reduces aerodynamic drag by over 50 grams saving at least 30 seconds over 25 miles. The Jet 4 has the shallowest aero section in the Jet line, at 46mm. That makes it the lightest aero alloy rim option, and also the least susceptible to side force caused by wind. It is ideal when weight and aerodynamics are at a premium, and as a great wheel choice for those who prefer less side force. This is a wheel design that has conquered full distance Ironman events numerous times.

The wide platform of the Plus rim allows the tire casing to spread out and make a larger contact patch with the ground. This improves corner grip as well as lowering rolling resistance. The wider rim also increases the amount of air volume which in turn allows the tire to be run at lower pressure. This lower pressure means that the bumps will be smoothed out in the road, which improves comfort. Unlike with narrow rims, the wide platform supports the tire sidewall so that you can corner with more confidence, as there is no tire flop. Lateral stiffness and drivetrain efficiency are improved in the Plus wheels due to the increased width. This is akin to the oversizing of bicycle frame tubes - bigger is better.

The 25mm wide platform provides a more stable platform for tires of any size. This versatility in tire size and the ability to run lower pressures makes it a great choice for cobbles, gravel, and dirt, while a larger contact patch increases rolling speed across every surface, and silky smooth on the pavement.

All of HED's Plus series wheels and rims are tubeless ready. This gives you the flexibility to run a puncture sealing tubeless setup or use a regular tire and tube. If you run tubeless, a very tight bead (shelf design) seat helps reduce the amount of sealant needed, helping keep the total wheel weight low.

The Jet Plus rim is laced to HED's 545 18 hole aero alloy front hub in a radial pattern, with bladed spokes. Sub 200lb riders will love the front wheel stiffness and stability as they rocket through corners and power out of the saddle as they attack the course.
