Description

Training with rollers is a great way to properly develop your pedal mechanics, position, balance, and relaxation techniques. At times, even the most hardcore roller riders prefer to zone out a little and just spin without the constant vigilance that rollers require. That is where the forkstand comes into play. Kreitler is the top name in rollers, and the company has long offered forkstands, so there is nothing soft about using one. The Kompetitor Forkstand 4.5 was updated to include thru-axle and quick release use, a necessity with today's fast changing bike componentry.
The welded steel base and fork dropout interface of the Kompetitor includes interchangeable end-caps for use with 9/100mm (QR), 12/100mm, and 15/100mm rigid and suspension forks (suspension forks should locked out before use). The Kompetitor features a stout tubular steel frame and wide stance that provides a solid platform for intense intervals and out-of-the-saddle efforts, which is one reason why the forkstand is a perfect complement to standard roller use. This version is sized to match height of the 4.5" rollers. Like with the roller frames themselves Kreitler welds quality steel forkstand frames, via exacting fixtures and then coats the completed stand with a black epoxy powdercoat finish that is super durable and resists sweat and salt corrosion, while being easy to clean.
