This is good stuff - nice color - nice scent - little tingle, but nothing alarming. I like it. BUT - this is my first and last tub of it. Because the Excel Relief stuff is half the price for a bigger tub. It doesn’t smell as nice, but it works as well.

The new formula is somewhat disappointing. It doesn’t have the tingling and cooling sensation of the prior product. It is also lighter and appears to have more air in it. However, I still use it since I haven’t found an alternative.

The jury’s out.... I’ve been a passionate advocate of Assos chamois creme for years - when it comes to my nethers, there’s simply nothing too good, and nothing’s been better. Granted it’s expensive, and while it’s not always true that you get what you pay for, in this case, you do.
Or do you? I’m not at all sure about the new formula. It’s lighter, fluffier (ie, more air whipped into it = lower density = less product for the same price) and as noted, seems to be lacking the astringent tingle from the witch hazel that always let me know that that Swiss gnomes who formulated this magic stuff were watching my back (side).
Now it feels like just another chamois lube. But I’m going to withhold final judgement until I can get outside and log some 4-5 hour rides. That’s where the old creme used to shine. We’ll see. Stay tuned.

Being a long time Assos Chamois creme user, the new formula isn’t’t what I expected. Was skeptical at first cause it was different color - light blue instead of vanilla color and didn’t seem as aromatic. After a month of use, I am happy to report it works just as well as the original formula.

I have been using Assos Cream for longer than I can remember.
I apply to shorts after washing (while still wet).
I also apply some to my skin before each ride.
I am Not going supper long distances (40 miles on a short day, 65 to 70 on a long day), but I do not get any hot spots.
I only wish that I could get the 1/2 Kilo pump bottles teams in Europe use!
It is kind of a cool package, the cream is pumped from the bottom and a membrane covers the top as the level drops in the bottle, cool.
Best Chamois Creme I have found so far!

I’ve tried all the other less costly Chamois Cremes but none can compare to this one. By far the best and worth the couple extra dollars.

I have been using this product for about 4 years now and I really love it. Personally, I apply the creme to directly to my body and not to the chamois. It totally prevents chafing and you can use it on other areas of skin irritation with great results. Great skin lotion. Sure hope they never quit making it. Try it, you’ll like it.

When used prior to ride, on clean dry chamois, it makes multi hour rides chafe free. It also keeps old shorts like new if washed after each use.
