The Contour SL is Zipp's version of a ergonomically correct carbon bar. Like everything Zipp designs, there is a whole lot of engineering behind the handlebar that makes it light and durable with a fantastic shape.
The tops are not quite winged, but ovalized with smooth ends. Zipp refers to this as the Aerofoil shape. They are comfortable on your hands without being excessively 'winged'. The bar is designed with smooth transition lines to the levers and the drops have a decreasing radius bend. The radius curve (Zipp calls this Short and Shallow) allows for a true anatomic fit that are achieved without bends, so hand positions in the drops are infinite and comfortable in any position.
UD carbon construction is internally relieved in low-stress areas for supreme weight reduction bringing the weight of the bar down to a scant 190 grams. Grooves are applied under the tops to hide your cables. Textures areas on stem and brake/shifter areas allow clamping with less torque and prevent slippage. Oval Zipp logo on right side of stem clamp with a band style logo on the left side of clamp area give a staggered and non-symmetrical cosmetic look. Small measurement marks on both stem and control areas allow for precise installation. The Contour SL bars are available in 42cm to 46cm widths and come in a 31.8mm bar clamp diameter.
Very comfortable, subtle airfoil top. Easy to position levers for a flat position on the hoods, perfect reach to brakes. Anatomic bend fits hand well.
