Fizik has greatly expanded its range of women's specific saddles. The development of the Arione- based Donna reflects a growing understanding of the requirements and desires of female cyclists. With Versus style pressure shallow relief channel, and a wider rear platform, the Donna seeks the anatomical balance and flexibility the Arione has provided for many cyclists. The longer than standard rail length carries over from the Arione, and may be even more crucial for women who have to accommodate femur/upper body length issues. Longer rails allow the saddle to employed over a great range to provide a comfortable cockpit.
The Wing-Flex section of the Donna's shell is applied to the edges of forward facing width of the saddle, allowing the glutes and leg muscles to travel more freely through the range of pedaling action, while the foam structure of the padding supports the skeletal system to allow the relief channel to keep pressure off of sensitive areas, allowing a more aggressive posture when desired. Fizik has listened to its female riders and delivered a terrific lightweight option to cyclists that are more flexible from the waist and like to get down on the levers or in the drops. The thigh glides are standard Microtex for smooth movement, and the saddle cover is the gummy Microtex that allows movement, but holds the rider in position more effectively. Given the response of riders to this new design, we believe the Donna will be another Fizik success!
