The most popular saddle of the 90's was easily the Selle Italia Flite titanium for several reasons. It was light with a weight in the low 200 gram range. Many riders found the shape and padding very comfortable for such a light saddle. The 1990 Flite also had a sleek and appealing design that made it a great-looking saddle in addition to being light weight and comfortable. Then in 2006-07 Selle Italia updated the design. While some riders liked the new Flite design many preferred the aesthetics, shape and comfort of the original. Now the original 1990 Flite is available again. For all you cycling historians - Selle Italia is calling the Flite re-issue the 1990, when in fact, it was actually introduced in mid-1991.
I have 4 bikes and all have the original flite saddle on them. I have 2 spares that I have for backup. Please keep them in production and I will continue to purchase them. Thanks for bringing them back.

I love these! I was using an SLR for half a year and then realized I was being silly - I had a Flite in my closet and the SLR was okay, but just not as great. I have it on my brand new carbon LOOK and a 2005 steel Casati; it is excellent on both of them. Just got back from putting in 45 miles and the saddle felt great. A few sores I had from riding the SLR for too long are gone. And, it isnt even that expensive. Please, please, please Excel folks get yours hands on these in white, if you can!

Ive been riding this saddle since 1993. The shape of the saddle is what made this saddle revolutionary when it was first released and is still its best feature. The long nose allows you to move up easily for climbing and the tail shape makes it easy to slide off the back for drop offs. Add good cushioning and light weight and you have a true classic.

Glad to see that Selle Italia brought this saddle back. I have an old Flite Gel and I like the regular version better. Price is a little more, but everything has gone up.

Very glad Selle brought this saddle back. Extremely comfortable for every style of riding out there. Only complaint I have is that there are no markings on the rail for fore/aft positioning in the seatpost. Even without this feature the saddle is totally worth it!

Rode this saddle for 19 years and used it for EVERYTHING ( climbing, time trialing, century rides, racing, mountine bikeing, you name it!). I have since tried several different saddles since they changed the design with only mild succes. This is a great saddle. Its great on long rides, has excellent support & have NEVER experanced any problems in the pelvic area. Its also built very well and are very durable ( i have 14 bikes with flight saddles on them and never have one fail on me, and some of them have over 70,000 plus miles on them!), and its reasonably priced too! Glad Selle brought this one BACK!!!

Ive tried or owned more than 20 different saddle types since the middle 80s, and still ride a Flite just about every day. I have 8 rideable bikes, 6 have Flites, including the mountain bike. They are quite durable as well,Im very happy they are back.
