Whenever you see the word Free associated with a Castelli product, it usually refers to a simple and less-is-more approach in product design. That is certainly the case with the Free Glove and why it is a staff favorite.
The Free Glove features a Clarino palm for grip. This washable fabric looks and feels like natural leather but is more durable, retains softness when wet and offers far superior breathability. Four specific pad zones have the right amount and density of padding for comfort and a natural bar feel. These pads are placed far enough away from each other so you do not lose dexterity during movement of your hand while riding. The rear section of the glove has a center mesh section for ventilation and two surrounding elastic panels to provide a snug fit. Thin strips of piping visually separate these specific panels. The simple design foregoes the cumbersome and unnecessary Velcro closure strap, which is how we like it.
The cycling glove category has always been a stronghold for Castelli and the Free Glove proves why, it's as close to perfect as you can get in a summer glove design.
