The Wahoo KICKR Power Trainer is the world's first iPhone powered bike trainer. Take the back wheel off your bike and connect to the Wahoo KICKR for accurate power measurement, iPhone or iPad controlled resistance, open third-party software options. Plus it has a smooth ride and noise levels comparable to or quieter than other trainers.
A 10-speed Shimano/SRAM cassette is included so you just remove your rear wheel and install. A new cassette is required for Shimano 11-speed and Shimano SRAM 7/8/9-speed while a new cassette and a freehub adapter is required for Campagnolo 9/10/11-speed. The height of the trainer can be adjusted for smaller and larger sized bikes to keep the bike and rider level with the ground. At 46 pounds, the trainer is quite stable with a very good road feel thanks to the solid connection to the cassette.
The Kickr is both Bluetooth and ANT+ compatible so you can view many metrics including power on other devices too like a Garmin. Because the Kickr allows 3rd party software training options and functionality via numerous apps is virtually unlimited. Best of all, the price of the Kickr is approximately $500 less than other power trainers of comparable quality and functionality.
Included in the box: KICKR Power Trainer, Road/Mountain Bike Adapter, 10-speed SRAM/Shimano compatible cassette (11-25), power adapter, quick release skewer and hydraulic brake pad spacer. New cassette required for Shimano 11-speed and Shimano SRAM 7/8/9-speed. New cassette and freehub adapter required for Campagnolo 9/10/11-speed.
When you get started you will find many apps available such as Wahoo's own app called Segments. This allows you to access Strava and virtually ride any ride you or any other person has uploaded to the site! Ride along and your trainer will constantly change to match the wattage that an uploaded ride includes. Another app to check out is KinoMap. With this not only can you ride but you can watch video from that ride as well. Check out the app store for all the available apps.
A Bluetooth 4.0 device is required for firmware updates
