If you are like us, you want mountain disc brakes to have gobs of stopping power, be reliable and have a shockingly light weight so climbing is as unencumbered as descending. Magura fulfills all three requirements with the MT8. The MT8 gets into the super light weight category thanks the heavy use of carbon with a Carbotecture SL master cylinder and Carbolay lever blade manufactured in Magura's innovative Carboflow process. The two-piston double arch design of the aluminum caliper allows the caliper to be both light and stiff while the thermoplastic piston helps to prevent heat transfer from the brake pads to the fluid.

The set includes post mount caliper, line and lever with the rotor being sold separately. The set comes pre-bled for easy installation and is for one wheel so order two sets for one bike. The brake levers can be run on either side of the bike because there are bleed screws on both the top and the bottom.
