Pro Bars are surprising in that a bar so healthy doesn't taste like flavored cardboard. These bars are truly delicious. One bite of a ProBar will smash all preconceived notions of what a sports nutrition bar could taste like. ProBar is a great tasting, whole food alternative that is convenient and uncompromising in quality.
Pro Bar Meal bars are hearty enough to be used as a meal replacement like the name implies. They contain 7-12 grams of protein and 5-6 grams of fiber per bar depending on the flavor. This bar provides fruits, nuts, and seeds with fresh, tasty, satisfying nutrition. ProBar is also rich in raw ingredients and the right nutrient-dense calories for lasting energy and nourishment. A sampling of ingredients includes oats, peanut butter, raisins, dates and sunflower seeds just to name a few.
Meal bars are rich in raw ingredients and the right nutrient dense calories for lasting energy and nourishment. The roughly 360 calories in ProBar Meal mean there are plenty of calories. Many of us will actually cut these bars in half because a whole bar is a bit much to eat on all but the longest rides.
I had one of these bars a year ago when I was bonking out in the middle of the desert at a gas station. It literally saved my life. It was quick to digest and was not sugary so as to upset my empty stomach. You dont feel like you need a ton of water to break it down either. I have since used these bars exclusively on long to medium rides without any issues and they taste great.
The Pro Bar has the best nutrition for on or off the bike. It works great in your back pocket on the bike - when its hot theres nothing to melt and when its cold you can still bite it without breaking your teeth. Ive looked at the ingredients and broken them down and its all good. Dont settle for less!
I rate ProBars as an excellent product. The ingredient mix appears to be chosen with care, health, and quality in mind. On 2-3 hour rides, I typically cut one in half, put it in a zip-lock bag, and nibble on it as needed. Longer rides get a full bar. They taste great, are fairly easy to chew, digest easily, and provide nice, steady energy. Highly recommended; my fave of all the many bars Ive tried over the years. I also always keep one or two around for snacks at work or on walks/hikes. Background: 46, male, ride road and mtb, 2-5 hr medium->high intensity rides in Colorado mountains, raced long ago.
Amazingly tasty! A level above everything else.
