At first glance you will notice the obvious changes made to the Record Ergolevers. The outer shift blade has two distinct cut-outs to shave weight, the other is the new Red 11 graphics. Upon closer internal inspection, you will notice a few more upgrades.
The carbon body has a new resin formula which decreases weight and adds a bit of strength. While improving the body, they also changed the routing path of the cables to decrease the bulge that occurs under the hood where the cable housing exits the lever. The ratchet wheel inside the rear shifter also receives a small re-profiling to make the shifting have a 'lighter feel'.
The hoods have what Campagnolo refers to as VariCushion which has dual density rubber for excellent ergonomics and grip. On the subject of ergonomics - The levers come with one pair of inserts to adjust the length for larger hands. The long shift blades have dual bends which offer a multitude of hand hold options and plenty of leverage for shifting and braking.
All of the shifting mechanisms reside on a bearing, not a bushing for smooth operation and longevity. As with all Ergolevers, they are completely serviceable with replaceable parts. Shifter levers include on full cableset for brake and shift with end caps and ferrules.
