    These things are total winners. Out of the box they are surprisingly light, have a handsome fit and finish, and offer very good adjustability. Out on the road, you get a good amount of modulation, especially if you took the time to adjust the pads with care, and great grab (almost put my bike down the first time out when a car cut me off and I went for the panic grab, forgetting I was running new brakes-- really wasn’t expecting the wheels to lock up, but they did). The stock pads even seem reasonable on alloy rims, though I can’t speak to longevity. High-five to SRAM for fulfilling a market niche that is oft overlooked: components for riders who ride their equipment hard and expect excellent quality and performance, but aren’t about to spend hundreds of dollars on shedding 30 grams.
