To summarize the FSA SL-K seatpost, one would say that it is a bargain in a carbon fiber seatpost with a reliable clamp. Digging down a little deeper, you will realize that is more than just a bargain - it is an incredible value. The seatpost shaft is constructed from UD carbon and then coated with a gloss finish. The combination looks stellar and makes the post seem like it should be in the same category as seatpost cost twice as much. The head is constructed from forged 7075 heat treated alloy. It has been shot-peened and anodized black. The head also features a two bolt mount. The bolts are mounted on each side of the shaft, not fore and aft. This provides plenty of security when clamping down your saddle. It also provides enough support that the head doesn't need to be notched, so seat angle adjustment is infinite. 20mm of setback is pretty much standard in a setback seatpost.
Simple but effective SL-K logos are fitted on the upper part of the shaft on each side. Thin measurement marks are put on the back of the seatpost for accurate height adjustment.
