This brass shim will not rust or degrade over time. For use with Cervelo aero seat tube frames. This shim distributes stress underneath the clamp. Additionally, it improves the slide fit of the seatpost and reduces the possibility of dirt entering the seat tube. The shim is held in place by the seatpost collar so one should be careful when loosening the clamp.
