Fresh style for the 2010 season. Designed right here in Boulder, then handcrafted from the best materials by MOA Sport(Nalini) in Italy. MOA makes a majority of Pro wear in the European peloton and these are no exception - the Excel bibshorts are authentic European professional wear.
The Nalini PTN9 chamois is at the core of the bibshorts. It features an antibacterial, perforated microfiber chamois with moisture passages. CoolMax® side inserts are added for perspiration wicking. 8-panel lycra material is form fitting with a lightweight/breathable mesh upper and silicon leg grippers.
Features
I love the Nalini (also known as MOA) PTN9 chamois that is in these shorts. I have used Assos, Castelli, you name it and the Nalini chamois is my favorite. It might be yours too - or it might not. Who knows? It's kind of like food. You like something or you don't.
In any case, these bibs are very well made for the price. The fabric is good quality and the fit is good. The price is right (maybe 25 less than an equivalent Nalini branded bib), but you'll be an Excel Sports billboard. If that's OK with you, then these shorts are a sweet deal.
Pros: Comfy chamois
Cons: Ginormous logos
I totally disagree with the first reviewer. Chamois's are personal things due to anatomic differences among people, I can attest to that being on a club with 50 people and hearing the feedback on our club clothing(another manufacturer). I have used these shorts for 4 years, and I really like the chamois and the fit. They have lasted about a season and I ride about 3000 miles a season.
Pros: Nice Unique Design, Good Chamois
Cons: Not Assos
The previous reviewer is correct that the chamois isnt as technical as the nicer chamois that are on the market. However with that being said I find it to be a comfortable bib. The shorts have gotten me through a full season of riding both long and short rides and I think they were a great value for a great looking kit.
Looks great and fits well, but the chamois is HORRIBLE. very thin padding will leave you sore even after a short ride. cheap price but you get what you pay for. got the matching jersey for a good looking kit but i am very disappointed with the chamois
