The Ridley X-Fire frameset is one of the most exciting carbon fiber Cyclocross framesets for 2014. Not a company to rest on their laurels, Ridley took the World Champion pedigree X-Fire and refined a few key details. The most significant change is the internal cable routing. This means the cables won't collect mud or get in the way when it comes time to carry. Full-length housing also keeps out potential water, dirt and corrosion and makes cable replacement easy. Additional refinements for 2014 include refined placement of the electronic cable ports and a knockout 3K carbon finish with blue and white details.
The full carbon frame features the requisite oversize down tube and bottom bracket for exceptional power transfer but has the low weigh and ride quality need to win world championships. A matching full carbon fork (with exceptional cosmetics we must say) rotates on a 1.5" lower bearing for rock-solid handling and shudder-free breaking. There are two bottle mounts for plenty of water on the long training rides and a flattened top tube for comfortable carries. The X-Fire has internally routed cables for both mechanical and electronic shifting.
